Woodland’s Lainy LeForce: Character Counts Presented By Indian Electric Cooperative
- Updated: February 16, 2020
Sophomore at Woodland High School, Lainy LeForce, was surprised and honored to be nominated for the Woodland Character Counts award.
“It’s very exciting and I consider it an honor. I work hard and do my best everyday. Some days are harder than others but getting nominated for things like this makes it all worth it,” Lainy said.
Playing guard for the high school’s basketball team, playing softball, and being an officer in the school’s FFA chapter, keeps Lainy plenty busy in school. Outside of school she also attends church and is involved with the youth group there.
Keeping her eyes forward and on the end goal is what keeps Lainy working hard everyday.
“I think about the end results I want for my team or myself and I try my hardest to finish with everything I have whether it’s a drill in practice or a game,” Lainy said.
This basketball season Lainy is, “looking forward to growing as a team and an individual.”
Lainy is a girl who loves being in shape and the journey it takes to get there so naturally she enjoys the physical aspect of basketball.
“I love pushing myself to reach new limits,” Lainy said. She also enjoys the bond she and her teammates form over the course of the season.
In her free time you can catch her fishing, hunting, and of course spending time with her friends and family. This school year Lainy is looking forward to, “making memories with my friends and enjoying high school.”
