Chandler’s Morgan Fowble – Character Counts Presented by Central Oklahoma Federal Credit Union

By Ember McElrath

Morgan Fowble is a senior softball player for Chandler High School. Morgan is a very active senior. She is involved in many different activities and sports including fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball, basketball, Positive Peers, Business Professionals of America, and BancFirst Student Board of Directors. Even with Morgan being involved in so many different activities, Morgan still finds the time to make the Superintendent’s Honor Roll each year with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Morgan has learned a lot from her family, “having a mom that is a teacher as shown me the importance of education,” said Morgan. Being such a busy student has also made Morgan very determined and focused. “I’ve learned from my family to always give 100% no matter what obstacles you face,” said Morgan.

Going into her final year Morgan is looking forward to, “having fun and spending my senior year with my friends.”  Morgan is no stranger to challenges. This softball season Morgan is more determined than ever after coming back from knee surgery. She has had ACL surgeries on not one, but both of her knees as well as an additional surgery this past summer.

“Being a part of this team has shown me how to be resilient,” said Morgan. “Although I haven’t had the best luck with my knees, I’ve learned to work hard and overcome anything that comes my way,” said Morgan.

She has been working hard in physical therapy so she can come back to her team strong. “We’ve been through many challenges and at the end of it all, we are stronger as one,” Morgan said.

The senior got involved in softball after watching her older sisters play. Morgan’s parents, Mark and Tracy have been very supportive through her sports career, as well as her three older siblings.

Her plans after high school are to attend college to pursue a degree in something near and dear to her heart and knee, physical therapy.
