OFFENSE

Red Devils football takes a return to the past for 2019 as incoming head coach Mike Hedge will look for game changing results after installing the wing-T offensive formation. Among the trio of returning starters from the 5-5 campaign a year ago will be running back Branom Bailey (5-8, 175, Sr.) an athletic and tough scat back that will leave his mark after contact. Quarterback Trevor Mills (5-6, 130, Sr.) can manage the complexities of the new offensive alignment and pickup valuable yards running the football. The speed of Tyler Carpenter (5-7, 145, Jr.) will be a welcome advantage to the Red Devils run game as well pass catching talents along with Trip Davis (5-9, 160, So.) while incoming freshman Trevor McGuiness (5-10, 175, Fr.) has potential to be a game changer in the backfield. The misdirection of the wing-T will get a bruising effort from fullback Elijah Ramos (6-1, 195, Sr.). The muscle of the front line including Connor Davis (6-1, 220, So.) who started all 10 games in 2018 and Alex Tapia (5-10, 270, So.) gives Prague an advantage on the line of scrimmage.

DEFENSE

The Red Devils defensive unit will play downhill with passion as Hedge realigns this year’s defenders into a 3-4 formation that will allow for strength and dominance at the point of contact.  The ringleader of the linebacker crew will be Elijah Ramos (6-1, 195, Sr.) who brings a rough and rugged aggression to the field and can fly to the football.  Another of the big playmakers at linebacker will be Braden Davis (5-9,180, So.). The ability to win the trench conflicts will include the efforts of Connor Davis and Alex Tapia while the Red Devils will get blanket pass coverage and solid run support from the secondary including the efforts of Branom Bailey, Trevor Mills, Tyler Carpenter and Trip Davis.
