As a power forward for the Ponca City Lady Wildcats basketball team, Carlie Bradley has proven to be a powerhouse both on the court, and in the classroom.
Badley has played basketball for the past seven years and began due to her mom. Her mother used to play the sport, and Badley wanted to make her proud and follow in her footsteps.
“My mom has been a very big influence on me to be the best that I can possibly be,’ Badley said.
Her favorite part about competing for the Wildcats is showcasing her hard work and also being able to play with her teammates.
“I enjoy the high level of competition that comes with basketball,” Badley said. “My teammates are like family to me.”
In addition to basketball, Badley is also an excellent student. She carries a 4.0 GPA and is ranked twelfth in her class. She is also a member of student council and the St. Mary’s Catholic Church youth group.
After graduating from high school, Badley is eager to continue her basketball career on the collegiate level. She is also planning on majoring in pre-med and pursuing a career in the medical field.
With her perseverance and excellent work ethic, Badley will surely be successful in everything she does.
